It's me Patricc. I'm writing to give everyone the low
down on Poetic Rage and myself. So after much thought and
contemplation I have decide that it is time for Poetic Rage to go on a
HIATUS. As you all know I did move out to LA to further myself and my
companies in this industry. That hasn't changed.

For those of you that don't know, 2 friends and I started another line
a couple years ago called 3 Clothing, 3clothingco.com. At 3 Clothing
we are busy working on so many new things that I have decided it is
better for me to put my undivided attention into it. A quick tidbit
about 3. 3 is an organic sweatshop free clothing line. We donate 10%
of every sale to a charity of your choice. So when YOU buy a shirt,
YOU pick the charity that YOU want YOUR 10% to go to.

Now we at 3 are about to venture into a new area and I'm stoked about
it. Along with designing our new collection that will launch in late
July, I'm currently working on the new custom part of 3 called "3's
Recycled Customs by Patricc". It will be a mix of jackets, vests,
jeans and more. I will be shopping at all the local second hand stores
and finding pieces that I will customize by hand. Every piece will be
different and completely done by me for you. This process takes time,
but it is worth it because NO one will have the same item as you. We
will have all of our custom pieces for sale AND we are going one step
further. Say you see a pair of jeans of ours that you like, but our
custom 1 up
isn't your size, send us a pair of your jeans and we will construct
yours the same way (they will look similar but they will not be
identical because I do it by hand).

As far as PR, I will still check the myspace periodically, but I
encourage all of you to add 3's myspace, www.myspace.com/3clothingco,
to your friend list so you can keep up with what we are working on.
Also my personal website, www.patriccreed.com, will be launching soon.
It will be my personal/professional blog site and you will be able to
contact me, ask me questions about anything and be able to see all the
new shit I design before it hits 3clothingco.com. Until then check out
my latest blogs about what to wear this spring/summer and check out
our current collection at www.3clothingco.com.

I want to end by saying thank you all for the ongoing support.
Remember PR is on a hiatus, but I'm still here and I'm doing what I
feel is the best for us all. It's just another chapter in the book of
Patricc and this is where the climax is. I will end by saying I love
all you beautiful cunts and I hope to see you on the other side.

Patricc

PS don't forget to follow me at twitter.com/patriccinc

Rules of the "Roundabout"

I want to make my case on something. In the past and even as recent
as the other day, I have been told by my friends & girlfriend that
I have road rage. This I can't completely deny. I would say I'm
more of an offensive driver than a driver with road rage. But call
it what you like, but I have to say that I don't think the road
rage is the problem as much as the drivers that cause the road
rage in others.

I bring this up because I'm so tired of people whom refuse to learn
simple driving laws for basic driving. Now I don't claim to be
the best driver in the world, but come on people, ROUNDABOUTS are
not fucking heart surgery. As a matter of fact if a heart surgeon
went in to surgery and discovered something he/she didn't know, I'm sure
he/she would look the shit up after the first dumb-founded incident.

So for those people that don't know, let me break it down for you.
FIRST of all, NEVER STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A ROUNDABOUT. Let me repeat,
NEVER STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A ROUNDABOUT. If you actually think
about stopping in the middle of a roundabout and you don't say to yourself,
"yeah that is a pretty stupid thing to do", please pull you licence
out and burn it or better yet, throw away your keys. Now that the
most important part is out there, here are the other parts:
1. you drive up to the entrance.
2. you treat this entrance as a yield, NOT A STOP SIGN
3. you yield to your LEFT, not RIGHT (if no one is in the roundabout
that interferes with you entering it, then continue on, don't stop)
4. once you're in the roundabout, you drive until you want to
exit. (if you want to drive around it 18 times, you do it without
stopping)
5.if you are driving in the roundabout and someone is approaching
an entrance they stop, not you

It's that simple.

My thing is if you don't know how to drive, LEARN. Don't call me
an asshole or say I have road rage because you don't know how to
drive and you almost had me driving in to the ass end of you car
cuz you stopped in the middle of a roundabout. I'm not an asshole,
your the asshole cuz you are going to hurt yourself or someone
else because you refuse to learn how to drive. If someone is in
front of you at a traffic signal, the light turns green and they
don't go, you're going to honk. You will because the law states when
the light turns green go. Well news flash they didn't start making
roundabouts without making laws about them, so if myself or someone
that actually knows how to drive in them is behind you, don't get
pissed.

patricc

Paparazzi

OK, I have been wanting to blog on this for a while. PAPARAZZI.
It seems that Americans are obsessed with celebs. Personally I
have not sat down and watched an episode of TMZ. I have seen
bits of it and if you watch it, there is nothing wrong with that.
Last month while I was in LA for a visit, I went to a club with
some friends. As the club was closing, I was standing outside
and there was about 20-30 photographers waiting outside the
club next door. About 3 minutes later Paris Hilton walks out with
her new "BFF". The paparazzi followed her up the block like a starving
dog would follow a piece of meat. While I do find that sick, I still
have no problem with it.

Today in the news a report came out about Brad Pitt saying he is
"fed up" with the Paparazzi. The channel that this report was on is a
channel that allows people to call in and comment. There was a
woman that called in and made a comment that I have heard many
times. The comment was "He signed up for it so I see no problem
with it. If he doesn't want to deal with it, then he should
go out and get a 9 to 5 job." This comment is where my problem
lies. Is she fucking serious???

Before you agree with this ignorant lady, please let me explain.
Answer me this, When did he "sign" up for it? Was it when he had
a dream that he wasn't to scared to go for? Was it when he was
a struggling actor trying to make a career doing what he loved? I didn't realize
there was choice that one has to make when deciding whether they
should follow there dream and try to become successful OR work
a 9 to 5.

Maybe when our kids watch sports and say, "dad, I wanna
grow up and play in the NBA" we should reply, "well hunny you
have to sign up to have paparazzi break into property and take
pictures of your kids if you wanna play in the NBA."

Or maybe if we have a talent of singing but still work 9-5 at Burger
King and American Idol auditions come through, we should say to
ourselves, "I don't really want my kids privacy violated so I
won't try out. I'll just continue to work my 9-5 at Burger King."

Now if you are out in public take all the photos you want. That
is going to happen. Some people's fame gets bigger from this
non-sense. I don't think Brad would have a problem if he is at
a bar and people are taking pictures of him. However I do not think
anyone deserves people sneaking on to private property to take
pictures of them regardless how successful they are at a career
they love.

-Patricc

WHY SO OBLIVIOUS

Why are many people oblivious to so many things? I frequent a certain "taco"
spot where i live. This restaurant is not fast food, but it is not sit
down service. It is the type of
place that you come in, walk to the right towards the front, order
your food, sit down
and they bring it out to your table.

As you walk in to this place, there is a BIG wooden guy holding menus and a sign
that says "LINE FORMS HERE". This wooden guy and sign is just to the
right of the entrance.
You practically have to move to the left to avoid it if you were to
walk straight as you come
in. As I sit here, eat and observe, it NEVER fails that people come
in, remain OBLIVIOUS
to the wooden guy, walk to the left and straight to the register
(usually passing in front of the
formed to the right by the non-oblivious patrons).

This applies also to the same people that come in to a bar and walk up
to the bar that is, we'll
say 15 feet long, and then ask, "what beer do you have on draft?". And let it be
known, I've been in MANY bars
in my life.

To sum it up... just pay a little more attention to detail and you
won't look like an idiot.

Patricc

Summer to Fall wardrobe transition

Okay, I keep getting emails from everyday consumers saying, "Patricc,
summer is almost over. What do I do about my wardrobe? I can't afford
to go out and buy all new clothing for fall." Well I hope to give you
a little relief by saying that there is no need to go buy a whole new
wardrobe. There are key things that can be done to transition your
summer gear to fall. This fall is going to be all about recycling and
reusing what you already own. I know first hand about this since I had
2 older brothers growing up.

Let me ask you this… Have you looked in your closet lately? I know you
go in there everyday, but have you taken a look at everything you
have? I'll answer that for you, NO , you haven't. I know this because
everyone has their set shorts, pants/jeans, skirts, shirts, shoes that
they cycle through. So first thing is first, go through everything you
have. You WILL find a shirt or sweater that you "forgot" you had. Once
you have everything then its just putting it together and making a few
accessories changes/adds.

This summer/fall is going to be all about layering. Layering is great
because it completely changes the look of you get-up. Take that thin
sweater you wore this summer and layer it with a tank or camisole
underneath it. This is a time to play with colors and patterns. Don't
be afraid to mismatch colors and especially patterns because its going
to be a fall trend.

Take that skirt of yours, add tights under it with a pair of boots.
The style of boots are up to you. I know cowboy boots are kind of a
past trend, but I don't think they have hit (their?? there??)
potential trend peak as of yet and I really like them.

Take that ¾ sleeve shirt or any type of shirt and throw cute scarf
with it. Every girl has a few pair of capris. Don't move them to the
back of the closet. Instead wear a pair of knee high boots with them
and a light sweater/shirt with a scarf.

It's about baby steps in this transition. Take what you have, add some
tights, a scarf, layers, boots, etc and turn summer in to fall. Don't
be afraid to try all combinations of your clothing with accessories
because you never know what will look good or more importantly, what
YOU will like.
Patricc

Dress yourself with what YOU like

Are you sure it is okay to wear what you have on?? Has it been
approved by someone else??????

You know whats great about fashion? In fashion there are no rules. No
police out there to arrest you for wearing something you like but
other people don't like. (although I wish there were fashion police,
but that is another blog) You can do what you like, whenever you like,
however you like. So my question is why is it that people need
approval??? Remember being a kid? I don't remember too much so that is
why I like looking at kids; but only kids with parents that allow
their kids to be kids. It's so awesome to see kids dress themselves in
a blue sock & jelly on the left foot and no sock & velcro dinosaur
shoe on their right foot. It's awesome because they like it and fuck
what everyone else thinks. For some reason people enter that "I need
approval stage" AKA see someone else wear it before they will.

Let me go even deeper. They will not wear something they like, but
instead wear something they don't like just because a celeb is rocking
it. For instance, Julie was fucking around one night and threw on a
pair of her sisters old school jeans that she had cut into shorts
while she was out doing lawn work. Now Julie actually like the look of
the frayed denim shorts when she added a dope pair of kicks, but she
is going to end up wearing the skinny's that she isn't that fond of
because some "A list" celeb was seen in them. She likes her look in
outfit "A" better than outfit "B", but since she has never seen anyone
rock anything like outfit "A", she will pass. Why??? If you like it
and the way it looks on you, then wear it.

If you open a magazine and see Miss Hilton wearing a turtle shell on
her head, there have been loads of people that have already put a
turtle shell on their head, liked it, but wouldn't wear it out. Once
Miss Hilton has been seen in it, that same person will rock it. Now i
know everyone can't set nor predict trends, but it's not about that.
It's about you liking what you have on, even if no one else does. And
to add to that.... out of those that don't like it or make comments
about it, they are just pissed off cuz they don't have the
courage/confidence in themselves to wear what they like. They are the
ones that need the approval.

So to sum it up, in fashion you have the good, bad and ugly. The great
thing is you can do whatever you want, but just be real with yourself
and wear what you want and not what you think other people want you to
wear.

Patricc
www.poeticrage.com

Express yourself with accessories

My first fashion blog. This is going to be the first of many that I will be putting out. I will be writing on future trends, current trends, trends that have stuck around too long. Also I plan to write about what people wear and why they wear it and style tips that I believe can take your normal day “get-up” to something a little less normal.

Now keep in mind these are my thoughts /opinions and many people probably won’t agree, but if you are one of those people, keep on reading you might find something you like. These thoughts are also random and as I see something or think of something, I’m going to write.

To me fashion is about expressing yourself. It’s not about how expensive you outfit is, it’s about how you wear it. Too many people confuse “in style” with “having style”. Just because you buy a shirt at your local mall doesn’t mean you’re cool. Try buying that $100 trendy tee and wear it completely tucked in with belt loops showing on your creased up chinos. That’s like buying the $10,000 spinners and putting them on a Pinto. Now I’m not going to tell you to buy a $100 tee, cuz I feel you can make a $5 tee look just as good depending on how/what you wear it with.

Right now tees are such an easy, comfortable, inexpensive item that can be worn with pretty much anything. You will very seldom catch me in something besides a tee. However I wear my tees with all sorts of accessories that spice them up. My personal favorite at the moment is adding a tie to a tee. The catch is either the tee or the tie needs to be plain. You can’t have a busy tee and a busy tie. Also I prefer v-necks with ties, but crews are fine. Females are lucky. Along with tees, just throw on a beater or a racer-back tank with a tie.

As far as the bottoms go, denim of any sort will work. I like to cut up my old jeans and make them in to shorts. This is okay to do. PLEASE don’t wear denim shorts that are hemmed with the carpenter loop. During the night time jeans are appropriate. Shoes to me are the make or break accessory to an outfit. Don’t be that guy that has the whole “get-up” together and then throws on your all black shiny shoes or even you all white eggshells that happen to share their name with a K-cheese.

Another thing that is easy to do that can add a lil something to your entire appearance is to jazz up you wrist (both wrist). To start, stop wearing your shiny aluminum foil watch with EVERYTHING. There is a time and place to wear that “old dinosaur bone” and with tees and shorts, it’s neither. Grab yourself some old shoe strings, jellies, dog-tag chains, rubber bands, bandana’s and wrap it around and tie. Act as if your wrists are getting cold and they need to be covered. Don’t go overboard though and look like you belong at the teenage gothic convention.

Patricc

www.poeticrage.com

POETIC RAGE "WAR ON FASHION" SHOW JULY 28, 2008

Ok everyone... it is now in stone.
